A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie Arrested On Gun & Drug Charges
Rapper A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie (real name Artist Julius Dubose) is facing gun and drug charges after being taken into custody in New Jersey.
Bergenfield Police Department officers executed a search warrant at the 25-year-old’s home in Demarest Monday (Dec. 7th) and seized four guns (a Ruger .380 handgun, a Glock .40 caliber handgun, an H&K 9mm handgun, and a Smith and Wesson 9mm handgun). They also seized hollow-point bullets, magazines, marijuana, edibles, and drug paraphernalia connected to the distribution of dangerous substances.
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office announced the arrest Tuesday (Dec. 8th).
Quashaun Hagler, 33, was also arrested. He reportedly works as the rapper’s personal security. He’s being charged with three counts of the unlawful position of a handgun and one count of possession of a large capacity magaizine.
Bergenfield police also executed A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie’s manager’s, Samblou Camara, 27, home where marijuana and hashish oil edibles were allegedly discovered. He was also taken into custody. Camara is charged with one count of possession of marijuana.
All three were released on their own cognizance with upcoming court dates. It’s not clear who’s representing them.
The rapper has not publicly spoken on the charges.
