Rihanna Says She Wants To Take Her Music And Brands To A Different Level In 2021
One thing that we’ve all found in common in 2020 is being under quarantine during a global pandemic. Everyone has dealt with the lockdown differently, but for superstar singer and businesswoman Rihanna she has found that her creativity is thriving.
In a new interview with Closer, the “Needed Me” singer talks about what being quarantined has been like for her. She said,
“At first it was strange because I am not used to being still – but during quarantine you have no choice but to be still. Then you start to realise during lockdown you are stuck there with your own thoughts and your imagination and it really helped my creativity blossom.”
Fans of Rihanna have been anxiously awaiting her forthcoming ninth studio album R9, and according to music producer and artist Pharrell, it’ll be worth the wait. Rihanna teased earlier this year that she was in the studio with the mega producer’s production duo group, The Neptunes.
In a statement to Allure, Pharrell said,
“Rih is in a different place right now. Like, wow. She’s from a different world.”
He added,
“I’m willing to bet, because Venus is gaseous, that if they had a telescope that could zoom through all that s—, you’d see Rih laying there naked.”
Rihanna confirmed this level of “different world” that Pharrell spoke about when she mentioned to Closer,
“2021 is a little unknown for everybody and nobody is sure what restrictions there are going to be. My creativity is within my control though, and I want to take my music and my brands to a different level.”
