Nipsey Hussle’s ‘The Marathon’ Celebrates 10 Years With Live Visual Album Experience, Dropping In 2021
It’s been 10 years since Nipsey Husssle (real name Ermias Asghedom) released his mixtape The Marathon. The project was put out by his own label, All Money In No Money Out, which he sold copies of for $100.
To celebrate the project’s 10-year-anniversary, Nipsey Hussle’s The Marathon Clothing posted a tribute to the late rapper and activist. The caption reads:
“Today marks 10 years since the release of #TheMarathon. A project our team holds near and dear to our hearts for many reasons. It represents the story of Nipsey’s resilience and unwavering faith in his mission, and the authenticity and honesty in his message. It also was the first seed planted in the Marathon brand that gave fruit to many other branches that Nipsey architected, as only he could do.”
The clothing line adds that a live visual album experience is on the way and will be released in 2021. That project will give an intimate look into how Nipsey Hussle created The Marathon Mixtape back in 2010.
“In commemoration of this anniversary we’re proud to announce our collaborative effort with @okidoki to bring to life an interactive live visual album experience coming in 2021. The experience will give viewers and intimate look at the era that helped shape this masterpiece. The people, the places, the stories, and more. Stay tuned, official drop date coming soon!”

The two-time Grammy rapper has a 12-year-old daughter (Emani) with his ex Tanisha Foster (above), and his four-year-old son (Kross), who he shares with Lauren London. The two had been together for five years when he passed.

Reportedly, Nipsey Hussle had 100% interest in All Money In No Money Out Inc.
He was murdered in March 2019, at the age of 33, and laid to rest on April 11, 2019 in Los Angeles.
Eric Holder has been accused of allegedly shooting the rapper. He was indicted by a grand jury in May 2019.
