Meek Mill & Other Rappers Want To Create Their Own Music Platform Where They Can Be Majority Owner
Meek Mill is teaming up with some of his fellow rappers in hopes of creating their own music platform. The 33-year-old Philly rapper took to Twitter on Friday (Dec.25) to share that he’s looking for someone in Silicon Valley to help him and fellow rappers Lil Durk, Lil Baby, and 21 Savage create a music platform where they can be majority owners. Fans quickly shared their opinions on Meek Mill’s message. Some in support of his idea, while others criticized the rapper for sharing his idea too soon to the world.
Some fans mentioned that there are program developers all over the country and not just Silicon Valley and that Meek Mill should consider going to different HBCU’s across the country to find IT /program developers.
On Saturday (Dec.26) Meek Mill wrote another message stating that he wants this new music platform to be different then Spoify, Tidal, and Apple.
“We not even trying to build the same thing as Spotify …tidal … apple we wanna build a platform/tool and connect it with those big big companies and eat and build up some billion dollar shit! If you a big rapper that sale a lot snd got a lot of influence rap in for %”
