‘Power’ Star Rotimi Proposes To Girlfriend Vanessa Mdee (Watch)

Actor and recording artist Rotimi made his relationship with girlfriend, Tanzanian singer Vanessa Mdee, official and put a ring on it just days before 2021. In a private ceremony with his new song “Love Somebody” playing in the background, he popped the question asking Vanessa to marry him. And she said YES!

Shortly after the engagement, Rotimi shared a close up of the ring on his Instagram. He captioned the video:

“She said YES! You are my everything. My angel. In 2015 I prayed that whoever my wife was going to be and wherever she was at the moment I hoped that she was happy, having a good day and receiving GODS abundance.

Vanessa shared the same video of the ring, professing her love for her fiancé, telling the world how Rotimi saved her life. She wrote,

“The answer is YES!!!!

A year and a half ago the world laughed at me when I said I knew YOU were my husband only days after spending time with you. I didn’t blame them, after all it’s an uncommon and inexplicable feeling when you meet your soulmate. ( Also they’d met the Vee who had no plans to be married).

On my 30th birthday my plans for the years to come were so different from where we are now, but GOD laughs when we are making plans.Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for YOU, they are plans for good and not for disaster, to give YOU a future and a hope.

Honestly, my future was feeling bleak and I was losing hope in what I thought was a perfect plan.

The couple made their relationship public in November 2019.

During an interview, Vanessa Mdee confirmed their romance and referred to their attraction being instant and how,

“It was love at first sight.”

Vanessa Mdee adds,

“Rotimi has more knowledge than I do. He is a guy who advises me. Advice that I have not been given by anyone. Sitting with him can make you think ‘What have I been doing with my life?’ It is like I was doing nothing with my life.”

Recently, the two seemingly spend some quality time on set of the sequel of ‘Coming 2 America,’ where Rotimi is set to have a role. Vanessa shared a flirty moment behind the scenes while sitting in Rotimi’s trailer. In the photo, she’s seen giving a huge grin with the actor slightly in the background. She wrote:
