Wendy Williams Says ‘I Need To Apologize’ To Evelyn Lozada For 2014 Feud

Wendy Williams is apologizing to Evelyn Lozada for comments she made back in 2014.

She made the apology during the Hot Topics segment of her show earlier this week as she spoke on the upcoming 9th season of VH1’s Basketball Wives.

Before she gave details about the show, she reminds her audience that “Shaunie O’Neal is still the boss,” before saying that she is not the star of the show this season.  Instead, she says:

“They tell me that the star is Evelyn Lozada.”
She added:
“Who I told you…I need to apologize to, remember the shoes in Miami and the ex-husband and the jump off and the whole bit.”
Wendy then says,
“You know what I’m talking about. You got that. Mm-hmm.”
Check out the clip below.

Their drama started when Wendy Williams threw a bit of shade towards Evelyn Lozada in 2014. She congratulated Evelyn and pro-baseball Carl Crawford on the birth of their first son together and referred to the child as a “cash register.”

“I want to congratulate Evelyn Lozada. Evelyn gave birth to a cash register, oops I mean baby boy with her fiancé, the $142 million Carl Crawford. I didn’t mean to make that cash register joke but you see why it can be easily said. Evelyn girl, congratulations and Carl like a lot of sports players and artist, he’s not a bad looking man but he certainly wasn’t getting the likes of Evelyn Lozada if he wasn’t playing baseball, do you understand what I mean? She’s upgraded him and now that she’s had the baby, he’s upgrading her.”

She jokingly continued, giving the former reality star some advice, sharing:

“If I were her I would be like Miami who, Miami what, I would never go back to Miami. First of all Evelyn’s of a particular age she’s like—38. Remember her only daughter Shaniece is in her 20s so Evelyn was a young mother. Evelyn also birthed Shaniece out of a basketball type-situation. That’s why she was on Basketball Wives, Evelyn has clearly lived to the point that right now this is perfect. Evelyn, I don’t know where you all are going to live but hopefully somewhere close to the Dodger’s stadium. Get yourself a little apron, Epson salt for your man’s joints and take care of your cash register. Lose the telephone number to all those little hating basketball wives that are going to hate on your situation. I like Shaunie O’Neal, the creator of Basketball Wives show but I would even lose Shaunie’s number. I would start a whole new life as the queen of the castle.”

She went on to say:

“And by the way Evelyn, very smart to name the boy Carl Lee Crawford Jr. just to make ol’ cash register over here feel well. Here’s what I’m thinking Ev. You should become involved in a lot of charity work and talk to your man about opening you up another Dulcé. Except Dulcé Beverly Hills, not Dulcé Miami. That was her shoe store that she had, remember? Then she got involved in all the shenanigans on ‘Basketball Wives.’ She let the shoe store fall by the wayside, but there’s nothing wrong with a wealthy woman having someplace to go every day Ev. You just go around and check on your workers.”

That 5-minute segment within Wendy’s ‘Hot Topics’ didn’t sit well with Evelyn, who responded on Twitter and alluded to Wendy Williams’ husband at the time, Kevin Hunter, Sr., cheating on her.
