Wendy Williams Brother Speaks Out Again: Our Dad Is Hurt You Didn’t Come To The Funeral – You Lied To Him

Update #2 (Jan. 19th): The drama between Wendy Williams and her brother, Tommy Williams continues amid the loss of their mother, Shirley Williams.

Tommy Williams has responded to the remarks the daytime talk show host made during her show Monday, Jan. 18th.

He said their father is “very upset” and “very disappointed” about what she had to say.

He continued and asked why she didn’t let their father know she wouldn’t be attending their mother’s funeral service.

“Really, this shouldn’t be happening. It’s crazy right now. Absolutely crazy. I asked you one question, why didn’t you go to the funeral? Why couldn’t you call daddy and let him know why? If it was that serious, if it was that much of a stance, what was the problem?”

He added that she showed up to Shirley Williams’ wake and told their father she had to “race back to New York to handle business,” and that she would only be in town for the viewing. He said:

“Our father didn’t even know you were in town for the viewing. You’re out eating lunch with your ex and your son, which wouldn’t be a problem I guess, if you had told your father that. He was hurt, he’s hurt Wendy. That’s why I’m here right now. It’s not fair, it’s not right, it’s painful. It’s painful for him, it’s painful for me, it’s painful for the family.”

He then said,

“You can call me out, you can say whatever you want about me. It’s not about that. I’ve been married 21 years, you were married 21 years, right? It’s not about [your ex-husband] Kevin. Kevin came to the viewing, I thought it was great. Thanked him, thought it was wonderful, showed his admiration and his love for mommy. That night was special, memorable, fond memories, mommy’s still here all the time. I’m sure she doesn’t understand Wendy why you didn’t come to her funeral. Why did you have to lie to daddy, and tell him you were gonna be back in New YOrk and you were here?”

He continued and said their father also doesn’t understand why Wendy Williams didn’t attend the future and said there was an “emptiness” due to her “selfishness.” He told her,

“I love you, I do. I’m concerned, yes. Have I tried reaching out? Numerous times. You hang up, you don’t call back. I’m not calling for me, I’m calling for daddy. This isn’t right…”

Original Story (Jan. 18th):

Wendy Williams took to her daytime talk show to send a message to her brother, Tommy Williams, after he revealed that the TV host missed her mother’s funeral.

She said on her show Monday, Jan. 18th:

“Tommy, let me tell you something right now. All you are is my brother. You better stop talking the way you’re talking, because now it’s dripping into my comment page. I wasn’t searching for Tommy. I was simply looking about how people felt about last week’s shows, or the dresses, or the guests we had on, we do a nice production here. I’m minding my WendyShow.com business, and I’m seeing comments about ‘Your brother doesn’t like you,’ or ‘you better watch your back because your brother’s on one. Wendy I can’t believe you’re this kind of person.'”

She went on to say:

“He’s pegging me to be a person I’m not. Honey, you don’t want me to start pegging you to be the person that you are, with full-blown receipts. I could fill the audience with receipts, with the leftovers all the way around the block… You are my brother, let’s keep it that way. If you want to talk on the internet, you talk the things you think you know about yourself. You don’t wanna talk about the things that I know about you, for sure.”

She then asked,

“By the way, do you like my dress Tommy? He would like a dress like this… That’s enough about that, my mother’s watching. Mommy, you know I know better…”

She later said:

“I love my family, I’m forced to love one.”

Adding,

“Do you know that I have better feelings for my ex-husband Kevin that I do for my own brother? Now you know that’s saying something. Good Morning Kevin. I’m just saying. But based on what you all have read,  clap if you’re with me. Don’t you start googling him until after the show is over okay?”

Wendy Williams continued:

“But he’s all over, he’s got a blog for this, a blog for that, and then one where he needs Jesus, he goes all kumbaya, then goes back to the hot grease and the coughing, and the arguing with people, and talking about me.”

She then insinuates that her brother is jealous of her success and that fans will see more in her upcoming biopic.

“There is nothing you can say about me that I either haven’t already said in my 35 plus years that you’ve been jealous of me holding this microphone or that you won’t find out the rest in full totality on January 30th on Lifetime.”

She continued,

“You don’t expect your family to be your enemy. My family now is… daddy calm down, you’ve known these feelings, he’s the one who pushed the button.”

After so many years of staying quiet, Wendy Williams says that she was shocked she was speaking out about her family issues.

“I don’t believe that I’m actually voicing my opinion I’ve been holding back for years, oh years; but had no reason to say anything, because what’s to say.  But now I’m seeing he’s saying things.”

In a closing remark, she tells her brother:

“You and your wife, better get your life, before I get it for you.”

We previously reported, that Wendy’s brother, Tommy Williams, posted an emotional video expressing the trouble he is having with grieving the death of his mother and also shares his hurt and pain with his sister Wendy Williams. During the video, Tommy claims that Wendy Williams did not attend their mother’s funeral.

” I don’t understand how a person can miss out on giving a salute to the one person who is always there, who always showed support. I don’t understand how a person cannot go to a funeral and hold up the one person or the family member that you do have, the parent that you do have left, and just move on. Keep it moving . I don’t understand how to keep living somebody who could cause that type of pain.”
