Country Singer Morgan Wallen’s Sales Increase After Facing Backlash For Saying The N-word
Country Singer Morgan Wallen sales have reportedly skyrocketed following a video that surfaced online of him saying the n-word. According to reports, this past Sunday (Jan. 31) Morgan Wallen and his friends returned to his Tennessee home after a night out. While standing in his driveway Morgan Wallen appears to be drunk as he instructs one of his friends to help someone in the group. He can be heard on the video footage saying,
“take care of this “p*ssy-a** motherf*cker”
Before the ‘Wasted On You’ singer enters his home he adds,
“take care of this p*ssy-a** n*****.”

Morgan Wallen did issue an apology after the video leak. In a statement released to TMZ, the 27-year-old country singer said,
“I’m embarrassed and sorry. I used an unacceptable and inappropriate racial slur that I wish I could take back. There are no excuses to use this type of language, ever. I want to sincerely apologize for using the word. I promise to do better.”
Following Morgan Wallen’s use of the n-word, many radio stations decided to pull his music from their playlist. Also, his contract with Big Loud Records was suspended “indefinitely” and he’s no longer eligible for consideration of winning any awards at the Academy of Country Music Awards this year.
However, despite his wrongful actions, Morgan Wallen’s fans seem to be standing by his side. According to reports, his sales have increased 1,220 percent this week. In addition to that, his song sales are reportedly up 327 percent.
