Dr. Michael Obeng, director of MiKO Plastic Surgery told CBS Los Angeles said of the four-hour operation:
“The surgery went well. Tessica is doing well. She’s awake. The hair crew is doing her hair.”
He also explained to TMZ that he applied a medical-grade adhesive remover, aloe vera, olive oil, and acetone to weaken the polyurethane, which is the key ingredient in Super Glue. Fortunately, he was able to save a good portion of her hair.
Tessica Brown got emotional after finally being able to run her fingers through her hair. While she just went viral recently, the adhesive was stuck for more than a month. She previously said she was fully prepared to wear wigs indefinitely.
Gorilla Glue previously released a statement on the ordeal.
She was previously said to be evaluating her legal options to potentially sue the company. It’s not clear if she still plans to move forward.
