Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City’s Mary Cosby Says She & Her Husband/Step-Grandfather Haven’t Been Intimate In Years, Don’t Sleep In The Same Bed

Mary Cosby is clarifying statements she recently made about marrying her step-grandfather, and giving an update on their relationship.

When Mary Cosby’s grandmother Rosemary Cosby died of a heart attack in 1997, her net worth from ownership of churches, properties, and homes was reportedly in the millions.  Mary Cosby inherited her family’s empire of churches and other properties after she married the man her grandmother was married to left the empire with, Robert C. Cosby Sr.

The reality star cried earlier this season on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City as she explained,

“I did marry him. I didn’t want to … That’s weird to me. But [my grandmother] really did want me to, so I obeyed her. I trusted every word.”

She also said during the season,

“I always say I have beauty in all my mess. The reality is I’m married to my grandmother’s second husband, which was my step-grandfather. Before she passed she made it very clear that she wanted me to be the one to take her place in the church and inherit everything. That came with homes, money, our church, and marrying her husband. Don’t think it wasn’t weird, cause it was.”

But at the reunion Wednesday (Feb. 17th), she said there’s zero proof her grandmother requested for her to marry Robert Cosby, Sr.

“No, there’s no receipts.”

She continued,

“Well, my grandmother told me for herself that she wanted me to take her place.So basically, Robert Sr. was 20 years younger than my grandmother. My grandmother felt like she robbed his youth and so she said ‘If something ever happens, I want you to marry one of my girls because I know they’ll be loyal to you and treat you good like you treated me.’”

She added that she “thinks” she loves Robert Cosby, Sr. and revealed they haven’t been intimate in years. She also said they no longer sleep in the same bed.

“You can’t go through a marriage for 22 years and be happy. Like every single Chanel, he’s bought it for me. And I haven’t had to buy myself anything. All my designer things, Robert Sr. has gotten them for me … We’re happy and you can’t say or do anything to take happiness away from me because it’s hard to get. It’s very hard to find. And if you can find that in a man, it doesn’t matter where he came from.”
