FBI agents arrested rapper NBA YoungBoy (born Kentrell DeSean Gaulden) earlier this week in connection to a drug bust he was arrested in last September. According to TMZ, police apprehended NBA YoungBoy in Los Angeles with the help of K-9 units. Federal prosecutors allege in documents that NBA YoungBoy had two guns (a .45 pistol and 99 mm handgun) in his possession when he was arrested in Baton Rouge. The city’s police only handed him drug charges during that arrest. His lawyer denied that any of the weapons found were his.
NBA YoungBoy reportedly isn’t allowed to have firearms because of the felony for aggravated assault, on his record. The 9mm was also not registered to him.
He is charged with one count of illegal possession of firearms by a felon, and possession of an unregistered weapon.
