LeBron James’ “House Party” Reboot Looking To Cast Jorge Lendeborg Jr & Tosin Cole As Lead
Plans are well underway for the “House Party” reboot, which is being produced by SpringHill’s LeBron James and Maverick Carter. According to reports, negotiations are being made to cast Jorge Lendeborg Jr. and Tosin Cole as the lead in the reimagining of the 1990 cult comedy.
The original ‘House Party’ film stars Kid and Play of the popular hip hop duo Kid ‘n Play, and also stars Paul Anthony, Bow-Legged Lou and B-Fine from Full Force, and Robin Harris (who died of a heart attack nine days after House Party was released). The film also starred Martin Lawrence, Tisha Campbell, A.J. Johnson, Daryl “Chill” Mitchell and Gene “Groove” Allen (of Groove B. Chill), Kelly Jo Minter, John Witherspoon, with a cameo by funk musician George Clinton.
According to reports, executives are still looking to cast their female counterparts.
