Pretty Ricky’s Baby Blue Reveals He Was In A Coma In 1st Statement Since Being Shot, Adds ‘I’m Still In ICU But I’m On The Road To Recovery’

Update #2 (April 22nd — 8:35 am EST): Baby Blue has broken his silence while in the hospital.

He updated fans with a social media post that reads,

“Thankyou everyone for your thoughts and prayers. I’m still in ICU but I’m on the road to recovery. The bullet traveled throgh my lounges is in stuck in my back. I have to learn to breathe & walk again. I have a great medical team here at the hospital. God Got Me

Love, Blue”

In the caption, he revealed he was in a coma but woke up to thousands of texts from his loved ones checking on him.

Update #2 (April 22nd): More details are coming out about Baby Blue of Pretty Ricky getting shot in Miami.

His brother and fellow Pretty Ricky member Spectacular Smith told TMZ Baby Blue was defending his cousin during an attempted robbery at SpareZ Bowling Alley in Davie, Florida.

Baby Blue (born Diamond Blue Smith), attempted to grab the gun from one of the two suspects to protect his cousin. The suspects were allegedly trying to take a gold necklace. The bullet is said to have gone through his shoulder and hit his lung. His cousin is shown screaming for help in a video that has gone viral (below). The suspects left before police got to the scene. No one has been arrested yet.

Baby Blue is currently in ICU in a Miami hospital and is on a breathing machine. Due to COVID-19, his mother and father are the only ones who have been able to visit him.

Original Story (April 21st): Prayers are going out for Pretty Ricky member Baby Blue, who is suffering serious injuries after being shot in Miami.

In a graphic video shared by Hollywood Unlocked, Baby Blue is seen laying on the floor as a man screams over his body and a woman is heard saying,

“She’s calling them, she’s calling them!”

Baby Blue moves his legs slightly as others gather around and put him on his side. The woman recording instructs,

“Leave him on his side! Don’t move him!”

He was allegedly shot in an armed robbery that went bad, his team told the publication. He is said to be in critical condition as he fights for his life while receiving treatment in a local hospital.
