Wendy Williams Salutes ‘Legend’ & ‘Icon’ Nicki Minaj Amid Feud + Rapper Responds
It looks like Wendy Williamsand Nicki Minaj have ended their ongoing feud.
In the past, both ladies have blasted one another on social media and TV in viral back and forths. But now, it looks like they’ve put the drama behind them.
Wendy Williams spoke about Nicki Minaj’s return to music and said yesterday (May 17th),
“Nicki, to me, is definitely an icon and definitely a legend. She’s done things that these young girls haven’t even touched, even though they have hit music, but Nicki is different than the rest.”
Nicki Minaj replied,
“You are an icon & legend as well @wendyshow”
Interestingly enough, in October, Wendy Williams said she didn’t think Nicki Minaj is a legend. She spoke on Nicki Minaj welcoming her son and said back then,
“Nicki had the baby–yesterday. So congratulations to Nicki. She too is not a ‘legend’. Not the way we think of status. And I feel bad for these girls but you know, Salt–N–Pepa never have to put out music. They paid their dues and they did their thing.”

In the past, the TV personality and rapper have been involved in a heated battle as Wendy Williams has shared her thoughts on Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty.
In 1995, he was convicted of one count of attempted rape in the first degree, assault in the second degree, unlawful imprisonment in the second degree, and criminal possession of a weapon. While she had lots of good things to say about Nicki Minaj yesterday (May 17th), Wendy Williams also made it clear,
“I don’t really care for Mr. Petty for her. The idea that he’s a registered sex offender, she’s already got a lot going on in her life. Her brother’s got a past, her father’s just passed away…”
