Bow Wow Says There Won’t Be A ‘106 & Park’ Revival & BET Needs Help: I Tried, But BET Will Never Get It
It looks like 106 & Park won’t be making a comeback after all.
Earlier this week (Sunday, June 6th), Bow Wow announced a Q&A on Twitter, calling it #askBow.

One fan took the opportunity to inquire about the status of a 106 & Park revival. The user asked Bow Wow:
“r u working on bringing back 106 & park [sic]?”
For context, 106 & Park has been off the air since late 2014, and Bow Wow co-hosted the BET program between 2012-2014. The exact reason for the show’s cancellation was speculative, with many believing it was due to Bow Wow‘s filming obligations for CSI: Cyber. However, others speculate that the show met its demise after guest star Karrueche Tran made a distasteful joke about Blue Ivy‘s hair just a couple of months before the cancellation.
In response to the 106 & Park question, Bow Wow responded:
“Naw… BET just don’t get it and they never will. Love them to death and will always support. They need help and they [need it] Bad! I tried.”

His comment about 106 & Park comes about six months after he claimed that a “high position” with BET would be his “dream job”:
“My only dream job now is [I] want to take over BET. I want a high position. I was blessed to host but NOW [I] want an office. I want to run and come up with content for the network. I know what they missing. All you have to do is LISTEN to the people.”

This sentiment earned Bow Wow a meeting with the network. However, with his recent statement regarding the network not “get[ting] it,” it appears that he believes BET isn’t on board.
