Common Says He’s ‘Evolved’ As A Person Thanks To His Girlfriend Tiffany Haddish

It’s safe to say that Common is beyond happy in his relationship with girlfriend Tiffany Haddish. While chatting on PEOPLE Every Day podcast the 49-year-old entertainer shared how much he has grown as a person because of his significant other. He said,

“I think one of the important things about relationships for me has been to really know myself more and love myself and be able to express the things that I want. I’ve evolved and gotten to that place.”

He continued and shared how much he values listening to Tiffany Haddish, 41, and taking in what she says.

“I listen to what Tiffany would have to say about how she feels about something and just try to understand it instead of always having an answer.”

He added,

“It’s about really just being in a relationship where you can grow and you really support each other’s purpose and vision.”

As previously reported, Common and Tiffany Haddish have been dating for a little over a year now. The pair even quarantined together last year during the COVID-19 lockdown. They first met in 2019 on the set of The Kitchen.

This past February Tiffany Haddish revealed on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert that she initially turned down Common when he first asked her out. She shared,

“He was trying to holler, and I was like, ‘No, I’m not really interested. Nah, I’m good. My eyes are set on other things. I’m interested in somebody else, I’m sorry. But you seem like a nice person.’”

She added,

“I know too many people that dated you, let’s be honest. I didn’t say that but…”
