R. Kelly Requests That Ex-Girlfriend Azriel Clary’s Identity Be Revealed In Court Documents Because She Speaks On Him In Public
R. Kelly wants to clear up the identity of Jane Doe #5–a.k.a. Azriel Clary–in official court documents.
According to Radar Online, R. Kelly‘s lawyers recently filed court paperwork to explicitly name Azriel Clary in official documents. Azriel Clary is the disgraced singer’s ex-girlfriend, and she allegedly lived with him from 17 to her early 20s. Initially, Azriel Clary stuck by R. Kelly‘s through sex trafficking claims against him. Despite this, she later spoke out against the singer and opened up about how he allegedly abused her. She has since been involved in the case against R. Kelly.

Now, however, R. Kelly is seeking for Azriel Clary‘s identity to be revealed in the court documents because of how often she’s spoken about him to media outlets. She is currently listed as Jane Doe #5. Regarding the matter, his attorneys wrote:
“The need to keep her identity anonymous has been directly undermined by her own actions. Further, the fact that Jane Doe #5 has spoken out publicly, and in fact published a book about her experiences with Mr. Kelly bears directly on her credibility as a witness.”
Currently, it’s believed that Azriel Clary is the only alleged victim who R. Kelly is seeking to have named in the court documents.
R. Kelly‘s next court date is set for Aug. 9th in Brooklyn. He is being federally charged with child sexual exploitation, kidnapping, bribery, forced labor, and racketeering.
