Duane ‘Dog The Bounty Hunter’ Chapman Claims ‘The Brothers’ Allowed Him To Use The N-Word: I Was Given A Pass Like Eminem

Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman is in hot water as he is accused of being a racist. The accusation stems from his 22-year-old daughter, Bonnie, who claims she is not invited to his wedding due to her support for the Black Lives Matter movement.

According to Dog the Bounty Hunter, the racism accusations began in March and his series Dog Unleashed was subsequently dropped by UnleashedTv. The network claimed that the reality star was featured on his daughter’s show, The System, and verbally attacked African-American kids. After closing its investigation, UnleashedTV stated that he

“used racial and homophobic epithets to attack young, African-American kids who star with his daughter [Bonnie] in UTV’s The System, a show that profiles police misconduct and follows protests against white supremacy in policing.”

ET’s Kevin Frazier, sat down with Dog the Bounty Hunter to discuss the allegations.

Today (September 2) is the wedding day of the 68-year-old reality star and his fiancée Francie Frane. When asked why Bonnie is not allowed to attend his wedding, his fiancé Francie Frane tearfully states:

“As hard as it is and as heartbreaking as it is, we had to make a decision that was very difficult for us. We’ve been through hell, him and I, in the past three years. …And I am not going to allow our day to be ruined by this nonsense.”

Kevin Frazier went on to ask:

“Do you support the Black Lives Matter Movement?”

Dog the Bounty Hunter stated:

“Yes!”

He continued to explain:

“I have never been a racist, I’m 33.5 percent Apache. But because of over 15 years ago, I have an Achilles’ heel because I used the wrong word.”

During the interview, the reality star made some interesting claims. In 2007, a phone conversation between him and his son was leaked where the reality star made several racist remarks about his son’s girlfriend and used the n-word several times. The leaked phone conversation led to the cancellation of his A&E reality show, Dog the Bounty Hunter. After being asked about the phone call, he told Kevin Frazier:

“I thought I had a pass in the Black tribe to use it, kind of like Eminem.”

A stunned Kevin Frazier asked:

“Who gave you this pass?”

Dog the Bounty Hunter responded with:

“The brothers!”

He also added:

“I had just gotten out of prison in 1979 after spending time, 18 months in Texas and it was probably three-fourths from the Black tribe. So that was a word that we used back and forth, as maybe a compliment. My pass expired for using it but no one told me that. To say a racist name doesn’t qualify you to make you a racist.”

To justify using racial slurs the reality star states:

“I have more black friends than Eminem.”

Frazier says:

“Remember proximity does not mean that you are not racist”

The reality star also denied using any homophobic remarks after his daughter claimed he used them in the past. When asked about the claims, he simply stated:

“She’s been fed what to say, I have three men on my staff that are gay. My daughter is gay, Baby Lyssa. I don’t understand why anybody would ever say that.”

He also added:

“Bonnie is being brained washed.”

Bonnie released a statement in response to her father calling her brainwashed. She states:

“As far as the idea that I’m being brainwashed, this is the dumbest thing my father has ever said. I didn’t believe he would go this far to discredit me so much as to say I was brainwashed. I am concerned about him. He has begun to believe crazy conspiracy theories. The only credibility my dad has to speak about brainwashing is perhaps as a victim.”

Dog the Bounty Hunter stated in closing:

“Would I die for a gay man or black man? I would lay down my life!”
