Lizzo Gifts Her Mother A New Wardrobe For Her Birthday [WATCH]

Get your tissue ready because Lizzo and her mom will have you in tears.

Melissa Viviane Jefferson, better known as Lizzo, 33, gifted her mom a new wardrobe for her birthday in a very special way.

In a new video posted to her Instagram, Lizzo, took her mother into a closet filled with brand new clothes, accessories, and jewelry. As her mother walked around in amazement, Lizzo asked her mother if she liked the clothes before simply saying,

“These are your clothes. I got you a wardrobe.”

The Truth Hurts singer began to laugh as her mom appeared both shocked and amazed by her daughter’s gift. In her caption, Lizzo wrote,

“Ever since daddy passed you’ve been telling me it’s been hard to dress nice for yourself. I know I can’t bring ur best friend back…but I still wanna give you the world. Happy birthday mommy, I love you. Time to be FLYY, girl. Thank you @jasonrembert.” 

As the video continues, Lizzo shows her mom all dressed up, enjoying her new wardrobe, along with makeup and champagne.

Lizzo recently made headlines after addressing the hateful comments she received following the release of her new single ‘Rumors‘ featuring Cardi B. 

After her tearful video, many celebrities like T.I. and Cardi B., came to the raptress defense to encourage her to keep going.

Rumors went on to top the charts, debuting at No. 1 in August 2021.
