Jeannie Mai is sharing additional details about her pregnancy story!
Last month, Jeannie Mai revealed she was pregnant with her first child. She’s welcoming the baby with her husband, Jeezy, and she announced the news while co-hosting The Real.

Shortly after her pregnancy announcement, Jeannie Mai shared an intimate moment with her fans on Instagram. The 42-year-old expectant mother uploaded a video of her and Jeezy using a prenatal heart listener to hear the baby’s heartbeat. Jeezy can be heard warmly calling the baby “Baby J” in the video, and viewers can see the rapper’s expression as he listens to the heartbeat.

Now, Jeannie Mai is continuing to share information about her pregnancy with her fans. Jeannie recently uploaded a YouTube video where she dished on her motherhood journey, and she revealed that she started in vitro fertilization (IVF) on her and Jeezy‘s wedding day:
“The very day of our wedding, March 27, we started our in vitro shots. Went for about two weeks, doing the shots with Jeezy and preparing for it.”

Jeannie then said that–shortly after a routine appointment–her doctor informed her that she and Jeezy had already gotten pregnant naturally:
“I call the doctor, and the doctor is like ‘Stop taking your shots. You’re pregnant. You guys got pregnant on your own.’ We got pregnant a week after the wedding.”
