Nicki Minaj Calls Out Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne Pinnock For Confronting Jesy Nelson Over Blackfishing Criticism: You’re Jealous!
Nicki Minaj isn’t letting up as she defends Jesy Nelson against blackfishing criticism.
As previously reported, Nicki Minaj came to the defense of former Little Mix member, Jesy Nelson. The 30-year-old singer was accused of blackfishing in her first solo music video Boyz, featuring Nicki Minaj.
Nicki Minaj defended Jesy Nelson on social media and suggested critics are exaggerating.
Now, Nicki Minaj is coming for Jesy Nelson’s former Little Mix groupmate, Leigh-Anne Pinnock (a.k.a. JeLeigh) for confronting Jesy Nelson about blackfishing.
A fan page shared text messages where Leigh-Anne Pinnock appeared to call out Jesy for blackfishing and cutting off her groupmates.
While the messages have not been confirmed to be between the singers, during an Instagram Live chat with Nicki Minaj, Jesy Nelson explained,
“I was in a group with two women of color for 10 years and it was never brought up to me until the last music video I did with them when Leigh-Anne messaged me…”
“My intention was never to offend people of color with this video and my song.”
She added,
“I just want to touch on the whole tanning thing as well, when I was in the video with you [Nicki], I didn’t have fake tan on. I’d been in Antigua prior to that for three weeks. I’m really lucky as a white girl I tan so much.”
She revealed comments Leigh-Anne Pinnock allegedly made and said,
“Leigh-Anne even said to me in the group: ‘Are you sure you’re not mixed race because you go darker than me in the sun!’ My hair is naturally curly, I got it from my dad – I wanted to get a wig that emulated the same texture as my hair and I genuinely didn’t think I was doing anything wrong.”
“The whole time I was in Little Mix I never got any of that. Then I came out of [the group] and people all of a sudden were saying it.”

“As soon as people can’t get a bag with you they seem to want to stop your bag. If I was rocking with you for 10 years and there was something so horrible about you… and then as soon as we part ways I was like texting [about] you… Immediately that person has to wear a big red clown nose and clown boots. When people part ways go about your f***ing business…. Whether you brought it up behind closed doors whatever, you are a f***ing clown. Sweetheart, take them messages and shove them up your a**. Don’t come out to try and ruin anyone, let her enjoy this time. Print them text messages out, buss that a** open and shove it up your motherf***ing a**.”“If you want a solo career, just say that – you can go out and do your own music, you don’t have to attack someone else. It screams insecurity, you’re jealous – only jealous people do things like this, and now you look like a big, jealous Bozo.”
Nicki Minaj also called out JeLeigh in a series of tweets. She wrote,
“When ppl can’t get money with you they always try to stop your bag. Well only corny ones chile #BoyzOutNow going live in one hour.”
She continued,
“Don’t call things out when they benefit your personal vendetta to ppl. Call them out immediately once you see it chile. Don’t wait a decade after you’ve made millions with the person #BoyzOutNow”
Nicki then name-dropped Leigh-Anne Pinnock and tweeted,
“JeLeigh btchs actin real messy. ~ if you know someone has been suicidal from bullying in the past, why try to get a bunch of ppl to bully them again about smthng else, on an even bigger scale? Shame on you— that’s rlly sad. You don’t know what ppl can deal with. Mental Health”
