Kelly Price Gives Update On Health Following Intense Battle With COVID: I Thank God For Another Chance At Life

Gospel singer Kelly Price has shared with her fans that she’s doing better and following her doctor’s orders after a recent serious battle with COVID. As previously reported, Kelly Price, 48, made headlines last month when her family claimed she had been missing for a while. Reportedly, the songstress disappeared shortly after she was released from the hospital for having COVID.

Kelly Price ultimately came forward and shared that she was never missing but instead isolating herself so she could fully focus on her recovery journey. She added,

“There were actually people–I don’t know, fans or whoever they were–coming to my house. People ringing the bell, leaving things at my doorstep, disturbing my neighbors [at] all times of the day and night. And this wasn’t months ago–I literally just left my house maybe a week ago because I couldn’t rest there… I turned off everything. I wasn’t on social media.”

In a recent Instagram post, Price let her followers know that she’s in a much better place. She wrote,

“Sis is following dr’s orders. Sis is getting stronger everyday. Sis is working hard to get back to the music. Sis is focused. Sis is eliminating stress from everywhere and everyone who presents it no matter who they are. Sis is working hard to be better than I was before COVID, before the pandemic, before the deaths and the losses, before the heartbreaks and the pain. Sis will be better than she was before the craziness.”

She added,

“I thank God for another chance at life. I thank God for everyone who “gets it”. I even thank God for those who don’t get it, those who insult me and those who judge what they know nothing about…you have a role in what propels me to chapter next as well. Everyone can have their opinion but God has the final say! #ChapterNext is being written now. Sis is writing the next chapter. #IAmSis #SisIsMe”

Price previously shared that she died due to COVID and, thankfully, doctors were able to revive her. She said,

“At some point, they lost me. I woke up a couple of days later, and the first thing I remember is the team of doctors standing around me and asking me if I knew what year it was… I died. I remember waking up in ICU and the doctor asking me if I knew what year it was.”
