Elon Musk Reportedly on Track To Be World’s First Trillionaire
Elon Musk may be setting a new record for something never done before!
According to reports, entrepreneur and business mogul Elon Musk, 50, is on track to become the world’s first trillionaire. Elon Musk is known by many for being the CEO and Product Architect of Tesla. His network is currently estimated to be over $241 billion and he is ranked as the richest man in the world.
Analysts at investment bank Morgan Stanley are predicting that Elon Musk’s space exploration business, SpaceX, will be responsible for taking his wealth to an entirely new level, causing the businessman to become the world’s first trillionaire.
They estimate that the privately-held SpaceX, which Elon Musk owns roughly 48% of, is possibly valued at $200 billion, and continues to be worth more as it exploits different potential industries such as; space infrastructure, deep-space exploration, and Earth observation.
However, during a secondary share sale that took place earlier this month, the company was valued at $100 billion.
Analyst Adam Jones spoke on Elon Musk’s exploration business and said the company was,
“challenging any preconceived notion of what was possible and the timeframe possible, in terms of rockets, launch vehicles and supporting infrastructure”.
He added,
“More than one client has told us if Elon Musk were to become the first trillionaire … it won’t be because of Tesla. Others have said SpaceX may eventually be the most highly valued company in the world – in any industry.”
SpaceX is currently the world’s second-biggest privately held company, behind the internet firm ByteDance.
