Wendy Williams May Not Return To Talk Show Until 2022, Says Insider
Wendy Williams is speaking out on her health condition for the first time, amid her hiatus from her daytime talk show.
As previously reported, Wendy Williams has been having guests fill in for her as she privately battles health issues.
Now, she has given an update herself.
She wrote on Instagram Monday (Nov. 8),
“HOW YOU DOIN’? I MISS YOU ALL!
As everyone knows, my health has been a hot topic. I’m making progress but it’s just one of those things that’s taking longer than we expected. I’m a woman of a certain age, and I know enough to listen to my doctors and will return to my purple chair as soon as we all agree I’m ready.”
She added,
“I want to thank all of my staff and our guest hosts for stepping up and stepping in while I can’t be there. I also want to thank Debmar-Mercury and our stations for being so understanding and supportive while I work my way back.”
She concluded,
“Most of all, I want to thank my fans. I have heard your prayers and comments and feel all the love! You are everything to me. I love spending my mornings with you all and I’m doing everything I can to get back to work, but right now Wendy has to focus on Wendy. I love you for watching.”
One Page Six source has alleged her absence could go through the end of the year as
“producers are already trying to line up guest hosts through December.”
A second insider said Wendy Williams has been “lonely” and none of her loved ones are around.
Still, a separate source added they’re “optimistic” she’ll make her highly anticipated return before 2022 as she’s treated for complications stemming from Graves Disease.
Days before her post, Wendy Williams was seen being pushed in a wheelchair. Photos were taken of the longtime TV personality being wheeled from her Manhattan home into a black SUV. In the images, Wendy is wearing a camel-colored coat paired with black pants, Nike blazer sneakers, a large white purse, dark shades, and a black face mask. The individual assisting her seems to be a huge help as he guides the famous TV personality from the wheelchair into the vehicle. See images here.
