Andy Cohen On NeNe Leakes’ Possible RHOA Return: I Think She Would Probably Prefer That I Keep Her Name Out Of My Mouth

It seems like the relationship between NeNe Leakes and Andy Cohen might still be a little strained. 

Thanks to her time on the popular reality series ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta,’ NeNe Leakes, 53, has provided countless memes and famous one-liners to the public. NeNe Leakes initially joined the series for season 1, which aired in October 2008, and ultimately left the show in 2019, at the end of season 12. Since leaving the Bravo series, many ‘RHOA’ fans have requested that NeNe Leakes make a return.

Recently Andy Cohen, who is an executive producer for the housewives franchise, spoke on NeNe’s possible return. While chatting on his Sirius XM radio show, the TV personality shared that he’s been in contact with NeNe since her husband Gregg Leakes passed away, however, he didn’t want to share if they talked about NeNe returning to ‘RHOA.’ He added, 

“What I don’t want to do is get into a public thing with her. I think she would probably prefer that I keep her name out of my mouth and that is what I’m going to honor.”

Andy Cohen’s remarks come after NeNe recently shared that she’d be open to returning to ‘RHOA.’ While chatting with the ladies of the talk show ‘The Real’, NeNe revealed,

“I’d return to the show. I’m okay with returning to the show as long as we can work through a few things. I’m happy to return to the show, and besides, I have a lot of unfinished business with a couple of them that they confirmed on the show.”

She added:

“Andy and I were really close for a really, really long time. I love [his son Ben], and I helped pay for his baby shower and all those things. I think that Andy and I each [need to] have a sit-down and talk and then we’re off to the races.”

It’s no secret that NeNe didn’t leave ‘RHOA’ on the best of terms.

As previously reported, after stepping away from the series in 2019 the ‘New Normal’ actress seemingly made serious allegations that Andy Cohen is a racist. She also threatened to sue over discrimination claims.
