Young Dolph’s Longtime Girlfriend, Mia Jaye, Mourns His Death: How Am I Gonna Tell My Babies That Daddy Is Never Coming Home?

Young Dolph’s longtime girlfriend, Mia Jaye, spoke out for the first time since the tragic killing that claimed the rapper’s life.

As previously reported, Young Dolph (real name Adolph Robert Thornton Jr.) was shot and murdered in his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee on Wednesday, (Nov.17). It was reported that Young Dolph, 36, was shot while inside a bakery and pronounced dead shortly thereafter.

Mia Jaye posted a heartfelt message to her Instagram Story yesterday (Nov. 18), thanking people for their love and support. She also shared an old clip of Dolph with their daughter.

Mia wrote,

“Thank you to everyone for all of your prayers, love, support, calls, messages… I may not see them all but when my eyes are not full of tears. I catch… a few.”

She added,

“Nonetheless, all the genuine positive vibes, energy, and prayers are welcome… because lord knows I need them.”

Mia continued to mourn by sharing a special moment between Young Dolph and one of their children.

She asked,

“Question is… how am I going to tell my babies that daddy is never coming home?”

In another video, gospel artist Donnie McClurkin’s “We Fall Down” is heard playing softly in the background. Mia Jaye wrote,

“God give me strength… Adolph I love you with all my heart and soul.” 

According to reports, Young Dolph was fatally shot at around 1 p.m. local time on Wednesday, (Nov.17). Police are said to have two murder suspects in mind from surveillance photos. In the pictures, the two alleged suspects are seen with guns and driving away from the scene in a white Mercedes Benz. As of now, no arrests have been made, and the rapper’s murder is still an ongoing investigation.
