Janet Hubert Tells Fans ‘Holding Onto Anger Will Eat You Alive’ While Revealing She’s Recently Been Hospitalized
Janet Hubert seems to be in a spirit of reflection as she deals with some health issues.
America’s favorite aunt, Janet Hubert, 65, recently shared that she’s been hospitalized. Many people know of actress Janet Hubert from her time playing the original Aunt Vivian Banks on the popular sitcom ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ from its premiere in 1990 until the end of its 3rd season in 1993. Earlier today (Dec. 4) Janet Hubert revealed, via an Instagram account that she seemingly created to interact with fans, she’s currently in the hospital.
The Daytime Emmy Award-nominated actress shared an image of herself with her former castmate Will Smith, 53, in the background from last year’s ‘Fresh Prince’ reunion. In the caption of the post, Janet didn’t reveal why she is receiving medical attention at the moment, but she did take the time to reflect on her past and urge fans to let go of any anger they’ve been holding onto. The caption states,
“Don’t waste precious time people in anger. Yes people will do you wrong and you must fight for truth no matter how long, and IF you can get the TRUTH you seek…find love again as we have.”
It continues,
“Life is too short as I am in hospital as I write this to all of you. Holding onto anger will eat you alive. But truth at any cost
Reputation is PRICELESS. I LOVE YOU WILL, for being strong enough to tell truth, and share your hurts and trauma. Now we close the doors and live our lives. PEACE OUT!”
As previously reported, over the years ??Janet has been pretty vocal about her issues with Will Smith following her exit from ‘Fresh Prince.’ Thankfully, during the reunion special for their hit sitcom, the pair were able to work things out and repair their relationship. During their discussion Janet said,
“Words can kill. I lost everything. Reputation, everything, everything. I understand you were able to move forward, but you know those words, calling a Black woman difficult in Hollywood is the kiss of death. It’s the kiss of death. It’s hard enough being a dark-skinned Black woman in this business.”
The IG account that the Janet Hubert reflection post was shared to isn’t verified by IG but there are videos from the actress on the page pointing to the fact that she is the person running the account.
