Cardi B Posts A Throwback Stripper Photo, Highlighting Her Growth
Cardi B posts a picture to remind fans of her humble beginnings.
Soaring rap star Cardi B, 29, recently threw it back to 2014 with an old picture of herself posing on top of a giant mound of cash. The tweet was simply captioned:
“2014.”

Around this time, the “I Like It” rapstress wasn’t exactly a celebrity that could be named from the radio or a Hollywood production, but she was picking up steam on social media. She was also raking in money as a stripper in New York, an occupation that she adopted as a teen. Once she became a well-known personality on the discontinued video-hosting app Vine, she left the strip club for good.
Today, Cardi–whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar–is a platinum-selling recording artist and a former cast member of Love & Hip-Hop: New York.
Her latest venture is “Whip Shots,” a line of Vodka-infused whipped cream, which launched in Dec. The creative dessert product is available in mocha, caramel, and vanilla, and has already won fans over.

In addition to the food industry, Cardi has dabbled in the fashion world. She signed a deal with the legacy brand Reebok in 2018 and has done a few collaborations with them. A Reebok X Cardi B sneaker collection is slated for release tomorrow (Dec. 28) morning.

Cardi B married Migos rapper Offset in 2017. They share two children together: 3-year-old Kulture Kiari Cephus and a son, whom she gave birth to in Sept. 2021. Her second pregnancy was kept under wraps for several months. The baby boy hasn’t made his public debut and neither Cardi nor Offset have revealed his name.
