Travis Scott Gives Mini-Concert At Private Pre-Oscars Party, Marking His First Performance Since 2021 Astroworld Tragedy
It seems like Travis Scott is ready to hit the stage again following the 2021 Astroworld tragedy.
According to reports, Saturday night (March 26) Travis Scott, 30, performed a short set during a private pre-Oscars house party that took place in Bel Air, California. Videos have since surfaced online of Travis Scott at the event standing behind the DJ’s booth with a mic in hand as he raps along to a few of his hit songs. Reportedly, the party was star-studded and a few celebs such as Leo DiCaprio, Venus and Serena Williams, YG, and Tobey Maguire, were in attendance. It’s unclear if the mini-concert was an impromptu performance or planned.

As previously reported, last November Travis made headlines after his Astroworld music festival in Texas took a turn for the worst. On November 5, the first night of the event, a fatal crowd crush occurred that left 10 people dead and multiple others seriously injured. The youngest fatality due to the tragic event was 9-year-old Ezra Blount, who attended the concert with his dad. Many people blame Travis for the event becoming as chaotic as it did because he didn’t indefinitely stop the concert to check on the safety of his fans as they screamed out for help.

Following the festival, Blount’s family, along with 300+ Astroworld concertgoers, reportedly filed lawsuits against Travis Scott, the Astroworld organizers, venue management, and other festival performers. Travis also lost multiple brand deals, including a scheduled upcoming collaboration with Nike.
