Kim Kardashian Denies Her Family Is Responsible For Blac Chyna’s E! Reality Series Getting Cancelled: We Don’t Have The Power
“Chyna will not be on our show. And it’s actually putting my brother in bad position because he ends up crying all day saying the only reason she [Chyna] showed up was because she was filming.”
When asked whether the message was sent in an attempt to stop a potential second season of E!’s “Rob & Chyna,” Kim insisted it had nothing to do with their spin-off and only referred to her desire to temporarily take a break from taping.
“I can’t control the content of what they film, but this is our show — why would we film with her? I really don’t know what they were filming [for “Rob & Chyna”] beyond when the fight happened. Clearly something happened.”
Reportedly, Kim Kardashian sent a text message the following month telling a producer that Blac Chyna,
“can have no false hope that she’s on our show…Is she getting paid?”
Kim claims she was attempting to be transparent and set realistic expectations for who would be appearing on “KUWTK,” insisting that it had nothing to do with the “Rob & Chyna” show. While on the stand, Kim told attorney Ciani,
“Clearly, if I’m asking if [Chyna is] getting paid, I have no knowledge if she was getting paid on our show.”
The lawyer then pushed back,
“You were informing producers if Chyna was on “KUWTK,” you weren’t going to film anymore?”
Kim quickly replied,
“They could film what they want. … We don’t have the power, as you have been insinuating. I was just expressing that I will be taking a break from filming to assess how I’m feeling. I will not go into work in a toxic environment. I can only control what I can do, which is to take a break.”
When asked about the intense fight between her brother, Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna, Kim recalled Rob being “so upset.”
“I remember only just trying to be supportive of my brother. I remember him being super emotional. It’s all such a blur.”
Meanwhile, the former President of E! Entertainment, Adam Stotsky, testified that Season 2 of “Rob & Chyna” show was not officially picked up even though there were press releases sent out on Dec. 14, 2016 — the same day as the fight — that the show would be returning for a second season. Stotsky claimed,
“We had a practice of announcing shows all the time so fans of the show will remain engaged. Shows also get canceled.”
He added that they ultimately decided not to renew Season 2 of the spin-off because it allegedly was not the show that was originally pitched to him.
As previously reported, Model/reality TV star Blac Chyna is currently suing the famed Kardashian family for allegedly getting her reality show “Rob & Chyna” canceled, costing her millions. While the show received good ratings and was seemingly popular, it ended abruptly after one season. In the lawsuit, Chyna claims Kris Jenner and her daughters Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, and Kylie Jenner used their influence at E! to get her contract terminated.
