Young Thug Faces Seven Additional Felony Charges Following Police Raid At His Atlanta Home

It looks like Young Thug, 30, may be in even more legal trouble than reports initially claimed!
Following his arrest on RICO charges, Young Thug (born Jeffrey Williams) is reportedly now facing additional felony charges stemming from authorities raiding his home in Buckhead, Georgia. In addition to the RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations) and participation in criminal street gang activity counts he was hit with during his arrest on Monday (May 9), the Atlanta rapper is reportedly looking at seven new felony charges.

According to reports, the additional charges include; possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of firearm during commission of a felony, possession of sawed-off-shotgun, sawed-off rifle, machine gun, dangerous weapon or silencer, and three charges of unlawful participation in criminal gang activity while employed by/associated with a criminal street gang.

As previously reported, earlier this week news broke that Young Thug was arrested in a gang-related indictment that named 28 people. He was taken into police custody on an 88-page indictment, including murder, robbery, and assault charges with a timeline of events dating back to 2015.
Thug’s friend and fellow rapper 28-year-old Gunna, born Sergio Kitchens, was among the names listed in the 56-count indictment. Gunna was also charged with conspiring to violate RICO. Other known names also indicted include Yak Gotti, PeeWee Roscoe, and Thug’s brother Unfoonk. The indictment refers to YSL as a “criminal street gang” founded in 2012 with an affiliation with the Bloods.

In a recent interview with a local Atlanta news station, Young Thug’s father Jeffery Williams Sr. denied the charges against his son, claiming the rap star was “unfairly linked” to a lot of crimes that have nothing to do with him. Williams explained,

“I think my son has been unfairly linked to a lot of things, but it’s up to us to prove it. I’m a fight for him until the end, I’m his father.”

He also disputed Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ claim that YSL is a “hybrid gang” that’s an “affiliate of the Bloods gang.” Williams claims YSL is not a gang but rather,

“a business, a record label.”

The “Lifestyle” rapper’s lawyer also recently spoke on the situation and said,

“The response to any allegation is Mr. Williams committed no crime whatsoever, and we will fight to my last drop of blood to clear him.”
