Summer Walker’s boyfriend LVRD Pharoh (real name Larry) isn’t too pleased with the winning results from this year’s Billboard Music Awards!
Yesterday (May 15) the Billboard Music Awards took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. With 14 nominations, 26-year-old Doja Cat, born Amala Dlamini, was definitely the person to watch during the musical event. She ultimately walked away with 3 wins, including “Top R&B Artist” and “Top R&B Female Artist.”

Following Doja Cat’s victorious night, it didn’t take long for Summer Walker’s boyfriend to question why the “Get Into It” Rapper was placed in multiple R&B categories. Summer Walker, 26, was also nominated in the same R&B categories as Doja Cat. LVRD Pharoh shared posts via his IG stories calling out the BBMAs and seemingly taking a few shots at Doja Cat as well. He said,
“@billboard explain to me how a pop artist Doja Cat wins 2 r&b categories??? And she has 1 r&b song ever??”

Despite her boyfriend being very vocal about his disagreement with Doja’s wins, Summer took the high road following her loss. The “No Love” singer took to her own IG stories to share that she plans on working harder and to congratulate the winners.

Doja Cat has yet to respond to what Summer Walker’s boyfriend had to say about her.
