Bobby Brown Shares What Ended Bravo Reality Series With Whitney Houston: Money, Me & Andy Didn’t Get Along

R&B legend Bobby Brown is opening up about what ended his reality series Being Bobby Brown.

While visiting with The Breakfast Club, show host Charlamagne Tha God asked music artist Bobby Brown, 53, about the 2005 reality series with his late ex-wife Whitney Houston. The show aired on Bravo and was produced by Real Housewives franchise producer Andy Cohen. Speaking on why the program ended, Bobby Brown stated:

“I can say money issues, I can say me and Andy didn’t get along….I’ll simply just say it ran its course.”

Being Bobby Brown followed the New Edition members life as a recording artist, and featured then wife, superstar songstress Whitney Houston, their daughter Bobbi Kristina, and Bobby’s children from his previous relationship with Kim Ward, Bobby Jr. and LaPrincia. The program showcased the family’s home life, extravagant shopping excursions, and vacationing in the Bahamas.

Though the series only ran one season, it brought in Bravo’s highest rating for a TV series at the time. Reportedly, Bobby and producer Andy Cohen couldn’t reach a filming agreement after Whitney declined to appear on season 2. The “Greatest Love Of All” artist likely forfeited a second appearance, due to her tumultuous relationship with Bobby. The musicians ended their infamous 14-year-marriage, just two years after the show ended.
