Reality Star Monique Samuels Talks Conversation With Network After Fight With Candiace Dillard On Real Housewives of Potomac + Says Andy Cohen Asked Her To Join “Ultimate Girls Trip” Show

Former Real Housewives of Potomac star Monique Samuels clarifies how vocal she was with Bravo executives after the physical altercation she had with RHOP co-star and former best friend, Candiace Dillard-Bassett. Monique infamously got into a fight with Candiace while the ladies were at a wine tasting. Candiace asked Monique if she was going to “drag her,” starting a verbal altercation that turned into hair tugging and swinging.

Monique Samuels, who now stars in OWN’s Love & Marriage: DC, was interviewed on the “Two Ts In A Pod” podcast when she was asked about her discussion with network executives after the fight:

“My ‘talking-to’ was ‘I quit!’ When I talked to the executives right after that fight happened – the next day, I told them I am done. I am not here for this. This is getting me out of my character. I’m a person who is pretty much in control of myself, and I said this is just not good for me. I said sorry to the network, sorry to production – but I don’t wanna do this anymore.”

She went on to say executives told her she couldn’t “put her hands on people,” and continued saying:

“I told them ‘I learned that in Kindergarden.’ I told them if it’s that big a deal to you, let me go! I quit!”

The podcast hosts, former Real Housewives Teddi Mellencamp of Beverly Hills, and Tamra Judge of Orange County, also ask Samuels about a rumored appearance on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.

Monique denies the rumor, however, she clarifies that she is still in good with the executive producer.

“First of all, I still keep in touch with Andy. Andy and I still text back and forth. He had offered for me to be on the season two Girls Trip,”

Tamra Judge, who was featured on The Real Housewives’ Ultimate Girls Trip,” then asked Monique Samuels why she declined to join the spin-off show. She responded:

“I told him no! I told him it wasn’t just a Potomac thing of why I left, it was also a network issue for me. I can’t be on that network working ever again, I just felt some type of way at that time. And I had some healing to do,”

Samuels added that she was asked to do Girls Trip almost six months after she left RHOP, mentioning that it was “still fresh,” and was a reason for her declining the show.

As we reported last year, Monique Samuels once said that Bravo tried to ban her from doing press after she quit. Currently Samuels and her husband, former NFL player Chris Samuels star in Love & Marriage: DC.
