According to recent reports, the 24-year-old rap artist was immediately detained after getting off a flight at JFK airport this past Sunday (June 12th). Reportedly, Jeffrey Mark22Gz Alexander, is accused of attempted murder.

The New York Police Department allege the “Said It’s Lit” artist was depicted by the 31-year-old victim, who was shot in the foot at a Brooklyn party hall on March 6th of this year. Reports state this isn’t the first time the Brooklyn native has faced serious allegations. Reportedly, 22Gz was suspected of killing a man over a parking spot back in 2017, but was later released after doing several months of jail time.

In 2018, reports state the musician was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of marijuana, and criminal trespassing following police finding him with a taser and substantial quantity of weed in a NYC basement. While sources could not confirm the status of his 2018 alleged charges, it seems 22Gz will be hoping for another acquittal in his most recent run in with the law.

22Gz bail was set at half a million dollars, which sources say he is expected to post soon.
