Young Thug Spits Freestyle In Jail, Admits To Having Suicidal Thoughts While Incarcerated

Young Thug is doing the best he can to stay positive in prison.

On Thursday (June 16) Young Thug’s nephew and YSL signee BSlime posted a video on Instagram of them speaking with Young Thug, 30, while incarcerated. During their conversation, Thug dropped an acapella freestyle expressing his feelings and experiences while being behind bars.

Thug rapped:

“I’m just sitting here in my cell like, ‘Damn, I’m really in jail.’ God, give me another chance to show you I can prevail. I could put my arms from wall to wall inside this tiny *ss cell.”

The YSL rapper admits to having suicidal thoughts while locked up in his freestyle:

“I tried to cry but ain’t nothing left. I contemplated doing myself, n*gg*. The most suicides deaths are in this jail, but let’s not forget that this ain’t hell.”

Thug, born Jeffrey Williams, was arrested on Monday (May 9) in Georgia after being accused of conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO). He was also hit with additional charges after Atlanta police raided his home.

The 30-year-old has been going through a rough time during his stay in Cobb County Jail. A month ago, the Atlanta rapper’s lawyer, Brian Steel, filed a motion for an emergency bond due to alleged “inhumane” jail conditions. According to Brian Steel, Thug isn’t able to bathe, exercise or sleep properly due to an overhead light in his cell that stays on for 24 hours. Thug also accuses the prison system for providing him with “inedible” trays of food.

Judge Ural Glanvillie denied Thug’s bond request, declaring him to be a “danger to the community” and a “flight risk.”
