“Pose” Actor Billy Porter Signs First-Look Deal With FX Productions

Billy Porter shared his excitement and added,

Porter continued,

Billy Porter has had a career in both acting and singing for nearly 30 years, but landing the role as Pray Tell on FX’s Pose catapulted his career to new heights. Porter won an Emmy for Lead Actor for FX’s Pose, and most recently received a third Emmy nomination for the role.

He recently appeared in Amazon’s Cinderella, the second season of CBS All Access’ The Twilight Zone, American Horror Story: Apocalypse, and narrated HBO Max’s Equal. He’s set to star in Our Son and will direct a queer teen comedy from Gabrielle Union’s I’ll Have Another Productions, titled To Be Real. He’s also been tapped to direct an episode of Fox’s anthology series Accused.

Billy Porter’s directorial debut Anything’s Possible– a coming-of age film written by Ximena García Lecuona– will be released July 22 on Amazon Prime Video!
