Megan Thee Stallion, Taraji P. Henson, Lil Nas X & More Speak Out Against Supreme Court’s Decision To Overturn Roe V. Wade
Celebrities are using their voices to fight for women!
As previously reported, on Friday (June 23) the Supreme Court announced, that after 50 years, they will be overturning Roe v. Wade, the landmark decision granting women the constitutional right to an abortion.

Since then, celebrities have been using their voices to speak out against the reverse of Roe v. Wade. On Sunday (June 26) at the Glastonbury festival, rapper Kendrick Lamar closed his performance with a plea for women’s rights. Intensely, Kendrick Lamar, 35, repetitively proclaimes:
“Godspeed for women’s rights. They judge you, they judge Christ!”
In a recent performance, rapper Megan Thee Stallion also reacted to Roe v. Wade, admitting her hometown, Texas, is embarrassing her.
Megan Thee Stallion, 27, says:
“Now ya’ll know it wouldn’t be me, if I ain’t take a second to call out these stupid *ss men. I mean God d*mn, what else you want?”
Megan Thee Stallion continues:
“Texas really embarrassing me right now y’all know that’s my home state. And I wanna have it on the record that the m*th*rf*ck*ng hot girls and the hot boys do not support this b*llsh*t that ya’ll campaigning for!”
Megan adds and gets the crowd to chant three times:
“My body my m*th*rf*ck*ng choice!”
Lil Nas X took it to Twitter to express his feelings about the Supreme Court’s new decision. Rapper Lil Nas X, 23, says:
“I think it’s really time we come together and limit how old a government official can be. I genuinely don’t think someone should be able to make life changing decisions for an entire country while also being old enough to have dementia.”

On Sunday (June 26) Janelle Monae gave the Supreme Court the middle finger at the BET Awards. Following the finger, singer Janelle Monae, 36, says:
“F*ck you Supreme Court!”

Actress Taraji P. Henson took it to the BET Awards to also address the Supreme Court’s overturn. Before introducing the nominees for “Best R&B Pop Artist” Taraji P. Henson says:
“It’s about that time we step into our power… It’s about that time we talk about the fact that guns have more rights than a woman. It’s a sad day in America. A weapon that can take lives has more power than a woman who can gave life — IF she chooses to.”
Taraji P. Henson, 51, continues as she gives a shoutout to the LGBTQ community in honor of Pride month:
“I’d like to give a special, special shoutout to Black women, to Black queer artists, to Black nonbinary artists. These artists making art on our own terms, owning our truths and expressing ourselves freely and unapologetically in a world that tries to control and police our bodies, my body, and our decisions, my decision.”
Taraji P. Henson adds:
“F*ck you, Supreme Court. I know we are celebrating us right now, as we should — we absolutely deserve to celebrate, especially now. We must celebrate our art by protecting our right and our truths.”
