Sherri Shepherd Reveals She’s Been Celibate For Over 4 Years, + Jokes About Her Son Catching Her Sleep Right After Using Sex Toys

Comedian Sherri Shepherd is getting real candid about her current sex life.

The TV and film star appeared as a guest host on daytime talk show The View recently, where she opened up about celibacy and mothering her two sons. According to Sherri Shepherd, 55, she hasn’t been sexually intimate with another person in the last 4.5 years. The length is also commensurate her divorce from ex husband Lamar Sally, which was finalized back in 2017.

During the episode, she stated:

“I’ve been celibate for four, four and a half years,”

Then continued, explaining that she now spends her sexual intimate moments with herself. After The View co-host Whoopi Goldberg asked if “her son likes her now” following her time being celibate, Sherri responded:

“He likes me but you know….I’ve gotta lock my door because Kandi Burruss, I order toys from Kandi Burruss all the time,”

Then continued:

“The problem is as you get older, you get more tired. I feel asleep with one of the toys in my hand. And Jeffrey likes to walk in my room and I woke up — cause kids just stand there and look at you! So I’m laying like, ‘What are you doing?!’ The thing was still on. So, I want him out.”

Sherri shares her 16-year-old son Jeffrey Tarpley Jr. with her first husband, Jeffrey Tarpley Sr. The two previously engaged in a nasty custody battle after Jeffrey claimed his son was “neglected” and suffered from “emotional and learning” problems.

In October of last year, the actress won a major custody battle with her second husband Lamar who was also challenging her for custody of their son, Lamar Jr. Reportedly, Lamar Sr. wanted a judge to up Sherri’s $6,400/month child support payments to what her legal team cited as an “exorbitant and absurd” monthly increase, as well as $75,000 in attorney fees and costs. However, Lamar was reportedly unsuccessful in his financial pursuit.
