Joe Budden & His Co-Hosts Said Cardi B’s Latest Song ‘Hot Sh*t’ Feauturing Kanye West & Lil Durk “Sounds Dated”+ Alludes Cardi Can’t Get An Album From The Track
It looks like Joe Budden and his podcast co-hosts are not holding back!
With the recent release of Cardi B’s new single ‘Hot Sh*t,’ which features Kanye West and Lil Durk, fans have been giving the record mixed reviews. While some love the song, others feel it was a flop. One person who didn’t hold back their honest opinion was rapper/reality tv star Joe Budden.
During a recent episode of his self-titled podcast, Joe Budden and his co-hosts had some harsh criticism for the new song. All three co-host agreed that they did not like the record. One co-host said,
“The beat is what wins this record. Just listening to it, this is a very old song. It’s dated. Durk’s verse sounds old–what he’s talking about. Ye’s verse sounds old because that’s not really what he’s on [now]. This record seems like it was something in the tuck a while ago.”
Joe Budden then chimed in, sharing similar sentiments as his co-host. He said,
“It sounds old. It don’t sound the best, it don’t sound the greatest, even from them. With the run both of them been on It’s hard to believe they allow this to go out like that. Kanye has been tearing up everything he touch, rap wise. Same with Durk. Why the h*ll would you ruin that with this?”

Joe Budden then took it a step further by questioning if an album will come out amid the “Hot Sh*t” record. He explained,
“An album is not coming out off this record. No. I don’t see it. An album is coming but not off this, something else will drop… this might get tucked.

The ‘WAP’ rapper recently revealed she had been sitting on the record for about three years. On Twitter Spaces, Cardi B said,
“I think this record is actually older than ‘WAP,’ It is everyone’s favorite.”
Shortly after, Cardi took to Instagram Live admitting she was hesitant to drop the track because it didn’t have an official music video. However, she chose to drop the record anyways, as she was confident her fans would enjoy it. She explained,
“I love the record. It’s something that I feel like y’all haven’t heard from me before. I feel like people is expecting a lot of slutiness and blah blah blah. Y’all keep talkin’ I keep making TikTok records and this is definitely not that. It’s a fun great record. It’s masculine, it’s great for the clubs, it’s great for the b**ches.”
