‘Law & Order Organized Crime’ Crew Member Shot And Killed Near Set [Condolences]
An employee of the NBC series Law & Order Organized Crime is deceased after being shot to death near the set.
According to reports, the unnamed employee worked as a parking lot enforcer and was shot around 5:15 am this morning (July 19th) while sitting in his vehicle. Reports state the the 31-year-old man’s murder is currently being investigated, though no suspects have yet been detained. Police are keeping details of the case private at this time, as the network attempts to contact and notify the family.
The man was reportedly not an NBC employee directly, but rather worked for a third party service company. Still, network reps reportedly closed down production for the day and issued the following statement:
“We were terribly saddened and shocked to hear that one of our crew members was the victim of a crime early this morning and has died as a result. We are working with local law enforcement as they continue to investigate. Our hearts go out to his family and friends and we ask that you respect their privacy during this time.”

Reports state the parking lot worker was hanging signs near the set location when a gunman approached him and opened his door. Subsequently shooting him multiple times in the head and neck. He was taken to a nearby Brooklyn medical center where he was pronounced dead shortly after.
The drama, starring Christopher Meloni reprising his iconic Law & Order SVU character Elliot Stabler, is currently shooting its third season.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and everyone affected by this fatal act of violence.
