Lady Gaga – $5K Reward Offered For Information Leading To Dog Walker Shooting Suspect Who Was Mistakenly Freed From Jail
Authorities are currently on a manhunt for the suspect who allegedly shot Lady Gaga’s dog walker and stole two of her French bulldogs in 2021.
According to reports, federal authorities are now offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the man accused of the violent offense. James Howard Jackson, one of five people arrested in connection to the robbery, was mistakenly released from custody in April and remains missing.

James Howard Jackson, 19, was let out of LA County jail by mistake “due to a clerical error,” according to the LA County Sheriff’s Department. The charges against him were reportedly dismissed. He was facing attempted murder, conspiracy to commit a robbery, and assault with a semiautomatic firearm when he was accidentally released.
As we previously reported, James Howard Jackson was released from court on April 6 after records showed the charges against him were dropped. According to the LA County District Attorney’s Office, the dismissed charges were supposed to have been replaced by a superseding grand jury indictment, but it appears the superseding case was not entered in correctly against Jackson.
The LA County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement at the time that the move was done “to speed up the legal process,” and Jackson was arraigned under a new case number. The statement said:
“Mr. Jackson was subsequently released from custody by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. We are unsure as to why they did so.”
On February 24 2021 around 10 p.m., Lady Gaga’s dog walker, Ryan Fischer, was attacked in Hollywood while walking three of the pop star’s French Bulldogs — named Asia, Koji, and Gustav.

Reportedly, camera footage shows a white sedan pulling up and two men jumping out. They struggled with Ryan Fischer and one pulled a gun and fired a single shot before fleeing with two of the dogs, Koji and Gustav. The 3rd dog was able to run away and was safely found later on. Ryan Fischer was critically injured during the attack and suffered a collapsed lung.

After Lady Gaga, 36, offered a $500,000 reward for her beloved dogs — “no questions asked” — she was ultimately reunited with the pups. The suspects got word of the hefty cash reward and recruited a woman to return the dogs to a LAPD station, claiming that she had found them.
James Jackson was arrested in April 2021 along with Jaylin White, 19, and Lafayette Whaley, 27, and all three were charged with attempted murder and robbery. Two others — Jennifer McBride, 50, and Harold White — were charged as accessories to the crime. Per reports, all of the suspects, except for McBride, have gang connections.
Anyone with information on Jackson’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department at 213-229-1850 or by calling “Crime Stoppers” at 800-222-8477.
