Usher Speaks On The Possibility Of Doing A Verzuz Against Chris Brown: I Don’t Think Y’all Ready For Nothing Like That
Usher is finally addressing the ongoing Verzuz rumors!
During a recent interview, Usher, 43, was asked if he would consider doing a Verzuz battle against Chris Brown, 33. While this has been an ongoing topic for a while, the ‘Confessions’ singer quickly confirmed no such battle is in the works. Usher explained,
“There was a flyer that was put together. It’s not official, no, we’re not doing that. But I can appreciate what I see… Nah, there’s no Verzuz. I don’t think y’all ready for nothing like that. You might be ready for something like that on stage, maybe in the future. Stay tuned.”

Usher went on to speak about his extended Vegas residency and how he’s been enjoying the experience. He explained,
“This gave me the opportunity to experiment and try things that I’ve always wanted to do. Skating is something that’s been very intimate for me so I built an entire rink inside of the show and the intention was to immerse you in what it is that my experience in life and creativity has been take you to some of the places that these songs were created.”

Back in 2020–at the start of the Verzuz craze–fans began debating who would win the battle between R&B favorites, Usher and Chris Brown. While social media was seemingly split between which singer would come out victorious in the end, it appears Chris Brown wasn’t afraid of the competition and felt rather confident in his music. The ‘Run It’ singer took to his Instagram Story and wrote:
“What we not gone do is CAP”
He continued:
“I could do a vs off features alone… So I’ll humbly decline… I’m busy doing nothing”
Prior to that message, Chris Brown made it clear that he wasn’t interested in a battle with anyone.
