Beyonce Alludes To JAY-Z/Solange Elevator Fight In New Song “Cozy”: ‘Might I suggest you don’t f**k with my sis, cause she comfortable’
With the highly anticipated release of Beyonce’s Renaissance album, it didn’t take long before fans gave the full album a listen in hopes of quickly memorizing the lyrics. However, it looks like some of Bey’s lyrics may be hinting at a controversial moment that took place in her life.
Many fans are speculating that Beyonce may be alluding to the 2014 elevator fight between Jay-Z and Solange in her new song “Cozy.” The second track on Renaissance is a self-love anthem that fans will surely enjoy! Beyoncé sings in the chorus:
“Comfortable in my skin / Cozy with who I am / I love myself, g**dmn / Cozy, cozy.”
The song also shouts out the singer’s younger sister, fellow singer, Solange Knowles. The lyrics in question read:
“”Might I suggest you don’t f**k with my sis / ‘Cause she comfortable.”
While it’s just speculation, these lyrics led fans to believe the “Break My Soul” singer was alluding to the 2014 infamous elevator fight between her sister and husband JAY-Z.
While attending a Met Gala after party in 2014, Jay Z and Solange infamously got into a physical altercation while on an elevator. The fight was caught on camera and caused a huge media frenzy. As many recall, it was Solange who was doing the hitting and kicking while Jay Z seemingly tried to deescalate the situation.
The couple has previously addressed the elevator incident as well as rumors of JAY-Z’s infidelity on their respective albums, 4:44, Lemonade and her self titled album, Beyonce!
