Reportedly, Polevich was facing up to 7 years in jail, however, Judge Howard Sturim followed through with a commitment to sentence him to no more than one year.
As previously reported, in February 2021 Robert Maraj died at the age of 64 after being struck in a hit-and-run accident while he was walking on Long Island. According to reports at the time, after striking Nicki Minaj’s dad, Polevich fled the scene and tried to hide the car in a detached garage at his home. Robert Maraj was rushed to a hospital in critical condition where he, unfortunately, succumbed to his injuries
Nicki previously addressed the tragedy on her website saying,
