Normani has something to say to all her haters!
The ‘motivation’ singer gave a pointed response to Twitter users on Tuesday (Aug. 9 ) who believe she is no longer passionate about her music career.
The tweet that initiated Normani’s sharp response said,
“No idea where Normani’s motivation (no pun intended) has gone but I just don’t see the same passion from her as I used to.”
A second user replied to the first user’s tweet and wrote,
“Before yall start, it’s not depression so don’t even go THERE! What happens when you’ve gotten comfortable and you’re not HUNGRY anymore.”
Normani, infuriated by the comments, jumped into the conversation and simply replied,
“Just shut the f*ck up.”
Popular British fashion illustrator, Hayden Williams, came to Normani’s defense and stated,
“It’s so interesting that people that have no clue what it’s like to be in the music industry & the complexities that can come with that, but will dish out unwanted & rude opinions all the time smh.”
Normani, went on to retweet Hayden Williams’ post, adding,
“On top of real life sh*t going on in my personal life.”
Normani has been candid about the struggles she faced since the break-up of her former girl group Fifth Harmony. When speaking about those hurdles she’s previously said,
“So many sessions, I would cry like I’ve never cried before.”
Adding that she feels a “responsibility” to succeed as a Black woman as she moves forward in her solo career.
