50 Cent & Floyd Mayweather Appear To Have Officially Squashed Their Decade-Old Beef

It looks like 50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather may have ended their long-running feud!
During a recent interview on “The Breakfast Club,” the rapper turned mogul revealed that during this year’s Super Bowl weekend, actress/comedian Mo’Nique called him out during her set in Las Vegas and insisted he settle his long-running public beef with former friend/ boxing champ Floyd Mayweather.

50 Cent claims the reason the two didn’t make peace sooner is because they don’t need each other. He explained,
“He don’t need me, I don’t need him..Me and him get into an argument and it can go on for a lot longer because we don’t really need each other.”

When asked about their initial conversation, the ‘Power’ executive producer said that after he apologized for his part in the feud,  Floyd Mayweather replied,

“Yo, why it take so long for you to pull up on me fam?”

The two men were good friends until they had a big falling out in 2012. They reportedly had a financial dispute over their The Money Team promotion company at that time and spent the next 10 years trading public insults.

Back in 2020, 50 Cent slammed the all-star boxer and claimed he was broke. He said during an interview with HOT 97,

“We got issues, okay, he’s still the best fighter out there; until somebody beat him.”

He also suggested that Floyd Mayweather,

“step back in the ring, cause the money gone… It’s fight, get the money, spend the money, fight. It’s been two years… With the lifestyle, that money’s gone, trust me… He’ll be your local host, in the nightclub, because he need that action right now.”

In 2019, Floyd Mayweather took to Instagram to throw a jab at 50 Cent. In an Instagram post, Floyd compared how many times 50 was shot in 2000, to how he lost his rap career.

“It was only 4 shots that ended Curtis Jackson Rap career.”

First Floyd wrote how he lost his battle with rapper/producer, Kanye West, over the first week of sales of their 2007 albums Curtis and Graduation.

1. You tried desperately to revive your career by going head to head with Kanye West and got dragged publicly, taking a unanimous decision loss.”

Floyd continues to compare the rapper’s businesses by trashing 50’s champagne, calling it shampoo.

“2. Jay Z been killing the champagne game with Ace of Spade selling worldwide at premium prices for well over a decade, while Curtis got a bottle with a cheap chess piece on it that taste like shampoo.”

Now, a decade later, it looks like the two men are making peace. 50 Cent seemingly confirmed their reconciliation on Sunday (Aug. 14) when he took to Instagram and announced that Floyd Mayweather would be attending his Tycoon Weekend comedy event. He wrote:

“Yeah Champ said he gonna pull up on me for Tycoon so you know we gonna go crazy. Big bags coming out TMT floyd mayweather BOOM.”

Many fans and celebrities seemed thrilled at the recent reunion and reconciliation. See reactions below:
