Burna Boy Seemingly Throws Shade At Jack Harlow For ‘First Class’ Winning A VMA For ‘Song Of The Summer’ Over ‘Last Last’: So Many Heartbroken People
Apparently, Burna Boy thinks Jack Harlow’s “First Class” should’ve been chosen “Last Last.”

In a recent post on TikTok, Nigerian singer Burna Boy shared a video of a parade of people singing their hearts out to “Last Last,” a hit single from his sixth studio album ‘Love, Damini.’ Burna Boy seemingly threw shade at Jack Harlow’s hit single “First Class” winning Song Of The Summer during this year’s VMA’s as he captioned the post:
“Wow so many heartbroken people #LastLast#Songofthesummer”
He added,
“When MTV Says Jack Harlow Had The Song of the Summer [yawn emoji]”

The 31-year-old’s “Last Last” was released back in May. The singer sampled Toni Braxton’s 2000 R&B hit “He Wasn’t Man Enough” and took nations by storm. As previously reported, Burna Boy, born Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, explained:
“It was actually my idea [to sample Toni], to be honest. I always wanted to use that sample and I knew Chopstix [his producer] could do something crazy with it. I just pointed that sh-t out and he took it from there. That’s one of the most special creative processes ever, but she is taking 60 percent of the sh*t.”

Jack Harlow’s “First Class” won song of the summer over other hit singles including, Beyonce’s “Break My Soul,” Bad Bunny and Chencho Corleone’s “Me Porto Bonito,” Doja Cat’s “Vegas,” Future featuring Drake and Tem’s “Wait For U,” Nicki Minaj’s “Super Freaky Girl,” and more.

“First Class” which samples Fergie’s 2007 “Glamorous,” appeared on Jack Harlow’s second studio album ‘Come Home The Kids Miss You.’ The song went viral on TikTok before its release and eventually debuted at number one on Billboard’s Hot 100.
