In a recent interview, Real Housewives Of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss shared that her daughter Riley has been cyberbullied by viewers of the reality show. Kandi Burruss said:

“I despise it. It bothers me so much.”

The 46-year-old continued:

“Everybody already knows that Riley dealt with her weight issues growing up in the public eye. People would make comments on her body and say things about her personal look and it really boils my blood.”

Last week, several cast members, as well as the network, released statements condemning the online harassment against the cast members’ children.

Burruss, full name Kandi Lenice Burruss-Tucker, added:

“You can deal with anything for yourself, but you don’t want your kids to be bullied online.”

Burruss admitted:

 “It’s just really terrible.”

The reality star is also a mother to two other children; daughter Blaze, 2, and son Ace Wells, 6.

Burruss shared:

“The people who watch our show and who are on our show, sometimes they take things too far, and it’s not cool. It’s crazy.”

Burruss continued:

“This is a TV show at the end of the day.”

She said:

“Words definitely matter.”

She claimed:

“I’ve seen one of my kids definitely get bullied multiple times.”

Burruss alleged that last week “somebody was posting that Riley was pregnant and she was so upset about it.” Burruss said:

“She was like, ‘Where are they getting this information from? Here I was feeling good about myself and losing and getting my body where I want it to be, and now they’re posting that I’m pregnant?’ That’s crazy!”

Burruss shared that she contacted Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills’ Garcelle Beauvais to talk about the hateful comments the media brought toward one of her 14-year-old twins, Jax. Last week, Bravo released a statement on their platform sharing that they are disgusted by the online harassment Jax received. The statement read:

“We are shocked and appalled at the social comments directed at Garcelle’s son. We urge our viewers and social followers alike to refrain from targeting our cast and their families with hateful rhetoric.”

Garcelle Beauvais took to Instagram to share a vigorous message from her son after he became a victim of cyberbullying as the show’s 12 season continues to air. The Instagram story read:

“From Jax…. Well I’d like to start off by saying that I am still a kid and wish to not be viewed as a fully matured adult, because I am not one. It is currently my first week of high school and, instead of enjoying it like most kids at my school, I have to deal with being attacked on social media.”

Jax continued:

“I did not sign up for this show, nor do I have anything to do with the show’s drama. I just want to be a normal kid. The purpose of my Instagram account is not for publicity nor the public’s gaze, but to be seen by my peers as just another kid. I really wanted to avoid going private, but I just have to at this point.”

Jax added:

“The constant support from everyone makes it much more tolerable. However, middle aged women spamming me with racist and crude comments about my family is not what I expected for my first week of high school. Thank you for all the positive comments. It truly means a lot to me.”
