As previously reported, the Denver Broncos acquired Russell Wilson, 33, from the Seattle Seahawks in a massive trade in March. The Broncos traded five draft picks, including two first-round and two second-round selections, and three players to the Seahawks. After officially signing with the team, the nine-time Pro Bowler said,
“I want to win three to four more Super Bowls. That’s the plan, that’s the goal, that’s the mission, that’s the vision. So, let’s do it. Why not?”
He added that he hopes to play 10 to 12 more seasons and finish his career in Denver after a decade in Seattle.

The Super Bowl-winning quarterback is now under a long-term contract with the Broncos through the 2028 season for $296 million. Wilson had two years left on his previous deal signed with the Seahawks, but the terms of the trade indicated that the Broncos were willing to give more to keep the veteran quarterback around.
Wilson’s wife, R&B singer Ciara, 36, celebrated the exciting news via Twitter with a sweet message for the NFL star. She wrote,
“Baby @DangeRussWilson I am so proud of you! You’re the most dedicated and hardworking person I know! It’s been so beautiful to see you become a Bronco! So excited for the journey ahead! You’re 1 of 1! My greatest inspiration. I love you so much! #3 @Broncos #LetsRide”

Wilson’s accolades include his 113 wins as a starting quarterback (regular season and postseason combined), making it the most for any NFL player in his first 10 seasons. The professional athlete quarterbacked the Seahawks to the only Super Bowl title in franchise history, beating the Broncos after the 2014 season in Super Bowl XLVIII.
Wilson will debut for the Broncos on September 12 against his former team as the first quarterback to join a team he beat in the Super Bowl.
